What is Camp Brave Heart?

Camp Brave Heart is a free, two-and-a-half-day camp experience designed to combine the fun of a recreational camp with grief support for children ages 6 through 17 who have experienced the lost of a loved one due to death. Campers discover that being with others their own age who have had similar experiences of loss is a comfortable setting for exploring those feelings. Through creative activities and trust exercises, the camp curriculum encourages campers in their exploration of emotional, behavioral and physical adjustments to their loss. Counselors experienced in child and adolescent grief support lead discussion and exercises.

Camp Brave Heart is held in the heart of the Texas Hill Country at John Knox Ranch in Wimberley. Find out more
